How do I get in to classrooms outside West Hall?
Heidi (procures rooms for SI) says the room should be unlocked; you can just walk right in!

How do I get help with technology in my classrooms?
If you're teaching in West Hall, contact SI Computing. If you're teaching in another building such as Dennison or Angell, contact LSA Instructional Support Services.

Just how much time am I required to spend on my GSI duties?
That depends on your employment fraction. Most SI GSIs have a 0.5 fraction and are expected to work an average of 16.5-20 hours per week (notice that's an average - some weeks will be higher, some lower). See details in the GEO Contract.

Where can I hold office hours?
Pretty much anywhere you like. We all share an office in the basement of Shapiro, and we have access to hoteling space at SI North. I (Libby) am trying to find some other space on campus that we can reserve. Right now, Shapiro and SIN are it.

When will Libby (GSM) observe my class?
As GSM, part of my job is to observe at least one of everybody's sections and get students' feedback. If you already know which section you'd like me to observe, shoot me an email, and we'll set up a time. I'd like to do all my observations between Oct. 1 and Oct. 19.
