Thank You site

Suggestions people have made for improving the Thank You monitor, and comments from developers about implementing them:

Use a browser that displays full screen? I think it would make it seem more like a video display (not a web page). [Sunny Beach]
I was thinking that a random style sheet (yielding a different page on each reload) and possibly some javascript animations would draw your attention more. [Sunny Beach]
It occurred to me that it would be nice that if people who were "thanked" get a notification, like an email. This should be a pleasing way to get the potential users involved. I can imagine that an additional field of "send a mail" with automatic complete function (matching SIer email list) would be feasible for the purpose. [Cheng-Lun Li]
Show the URL for adding messages occasionally, as people don' t notice the paper pasted to the monitor.
Make an RSS feed of the thank yous
